I was really enjoying the show up until the bonus episode where the great granddaughters were interviewed for the Black Dalia suspect. They kept talking about themselves for most of the show instead of talking about the true crime. I was not impressed.

The narrator’s delivery was overly measured and dramatic and comes across as unnatural.

The story contents are gripping and the story tellers voice adds another intriguing layer. Good stuff.

This is an awesome podcast. The investigation is very throughout. You will not want to stop listening to it.

This is the first straight narration mystery podcast I have actually stuck with. I’m a rather old-soul millennial who grew up listening to radio dramas, and this reminds me of many of those. Very well-written and well-dramatized. Will be binging it all!

It’s so refreshing to have a slower paced and smooth voice. I’m tired of listening to speed racing speakers. ❤️
tentrinity via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/08/24
There’s no need to keep thanking listeners or at least do it at the end so long time listeners can end the survey. Also we’re not interested in the staff involved in making the podcast. Put that in the transcription or leave it out altogether. This is a relatively new show so hopefully these...Read full review »

Barely began listening to this show and I wish it was updated more than once a week and longer episodes 🥲his voice is so calming and every episode is narrated magnificently!
tvilla717 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/05/24
All of Carter Roy’s podcast is always my top pick for me. He keeps the podcast especially Murder: True Crime Stories very interesting to listen to while driving and when working. When I am playing these podcasts loud in my backroom at work I get my teammates interested as well on the cases with me!

To podcast narrating, this would be it. Please Sean, please go back to narrating normally as you did your other episodes, you have a nice voice. In this sample from Drowning Creek, you sound like that young guy that was on Inside Edition!
ChasingDreams via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/27/24
This would be a good podcast if dude didn’t over dramatize every single word!
Traviscashdean via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/27/24
I love listening to this podcast while I’m working, as a huge true crime fan, I enjoy this show and the facts surrounding the murders.

Just found this podcast and I am absolutely loving it, binging my way through the whole podcast. I’ve also subscribed to another sub by this podcast House and looking forward to listening to those next.

This podcast has been very informative and interesting to listen to. The storytelling is superb. It draws you in, and you don’t want to stop until you know how it all ends. This is going to be a fun ride. Thank you.

The cases are quite interesting but the guy talks soooo slowly and draws out the stories. I have to listen on 1.25 speed because his talking is ridiculously lazy slow.

I enjoyed Carter Roy on the Conspiracy Theories podcast but he seems to be overdoing the dramatics and emphasizing here. Straightforward delivery would be more effective. Other than that the show is well done, good research and coverage of the stories.

Everything that Carter Roy is involved in, just count me in!

I almost passed up this new podcast because the topics of HH Holmes and the Tylenol murders have been done so often already. But I am glad I stuck with it. The host included facts and details. I had not heard before regarding these cases and presented them in an interesting and fresh manner.
Grac€ via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/19/24
I love this podcast. My favorite aspect of it is how much detail and facts they have, not only about the crimes but the happenings before the crimes
MirAnnEri via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/15/24
This is the absolute best podcast! I love the in-depth research that goes into each topic. The podcaster, Carter, grabs my interest from the first to the last line of each episode. I’m so glad I stumbled on to this podcast and am currently binging all the episodes.

I’m very picky about the true crime podcasts I listen to but I absolutely love this one. This podcast has become my new favorite and I’m glad I found it just as it’s starting off. Binged every episode throughout the night. I love that Carter is straight to the point with no unnecessary talking. I...Read full review »

As a long time parcast listener I have been missing the familiar voices. I can’t believe it took me this long to find this! So nice to hear Carter’s voice again and I love this podcast! Def worth the listen!

I missed Carter so much when he left Apple to strictly do podcasts on Spotify. So glad he is back! He’s amazing and this podcast is phenomenal. Thank you for coming back!

Really like the clear, straightforward reporting. I get annoyed with podcasts that have a lot of banter between cohosts.

I can’t listen to this guy’s voice. He’s trying to hard. It’s just so cheesy
missgeegee2020 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/28/24
I enjoy this podcast for the most part. My only complaints are the random pauses throughout. I also don’t need all the recapping at the beginning of the episodes. If I’m listening to part 2 it’s because I’ve already listened to part 1 and know what’s happening so far.
Blue cat jacket via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/23/24
If this dropped once a month with all of the episodes it would be great. However dropping one episode a week that is several parts leads to binge listening or forgetting things and I don’t like either of those two options.
rickdoss via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/20/24
The contents of this new show are well-researched. However I had to speed up this narrator because he talks so slowly. Actually, a speed of 1.25 makes it sound quite normal…
Forest Feline via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/20/24
I heard about this podcast for my girls over at morbid. I love the recommendations and they were right on about this podcast. I can’t wait for more episodes to come out.
Cindy rose 27 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/20/24
I was glad to hear of a new true crime podcast but gosh I cannot stand his voice. He sounds like he’s telling a ghost story and it’s really hokey. I’m hoping either he drops it or there’s a host change in the future.
leaveoutbias via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/18/24
Great to go back to the standard of storytelling that made me enjoy the original Parcast podcast series. Once again the storytelling, analysis & quality of production in this podcast can be heard. Once again, a Good Job Max!

I heard about this podcast from Daphne and Heath over at Going West and I’m so happy they did. Love how Carter Toy weaves the information into an engaging narrative.

Love his voice!! And the narrating of the crime. I hate when other podcasts share the audio of the crime. It’s so hard to hear and or my head starts to hurt because I try so hard to follow what is going on and my mind zones out. Please continue the narration story of the crimes! Love your voice...Read full review »

I like the story format, it’s clear concise and also paints a good picture of the victims lives. The narration tone takes getting use to but I appreciate the clarity. I can’t wait for more episodes. Refreshing and entertaining!

Huge true crime fan and heard about this show from the Morbid podcast. My favorite girlies didn’t steer me wrong! Love the stories and the voice telling them. Keep up the awesome work, I’ll be listening

I enjoy the guys voice , and his story telling. Not everyone will agree , but hey you can’t make everyone happy.
turftracer via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/11/24
I love true crime, but don’t like how often the victim is briefly mentioned but then go in depth about the killer. Instead I love this series because we really get to know the victims and their lives before they were sadly taken.
