“Except I haven’t been able to finish an entire episode before I’m switching apps to iMusic so I can listen to musical numbers that I haven’t listened to in forever! I think I got about 2 minutes into the Miss Saigon episode before needing to hear the rest of The Heat is On (in Saigon)! Even when they hate the musical, I find that I’m still enjoying their commentary. For example, I was quite surprised by how much they dislike Rent, I think their main issue is that the plot is completely unrealistic. Since when is that a requirement for a musical? Lol. I think the lack of a realistic, coherent narrative is one of the reasons people like musicals, it’s escapism at its finest! But everyone had a right to their own opinion, and I kinda have to agree with them about Over the Moon being ridiculously long and not very good. One of these days I’ll make it through an entire episode without spending the next hour listening to the soundtrack. But that’s definitely one of the reasons I like the show; thanks for reminding me of all the good music I haven’t been listening to in quite some time!”
