“I started watching this because I wanted to listen to reviews of bad musicals (for fun) and discover new good ones. On that, this show delivers. There are plenty of musicals here that I’ve never heard of and will be looking into as a result.
However, after a couple months you start hearing the repetitive nature of the pod. The jokes about Dear Evan Hansen and Ben Brantley are a mainstay and after a while they get old. It’s ironic that they make fun of Doug Walker and Nostalgia Critic because they’re clearly influenced by him. Yes they’ve improved over time but their tone gives me flashbacks to the days when I thought every review a white male janitor gave was gospel. Jesse even sounds like Doug.
If you have sentiment for that time on YouTube, then give it a listen, but I’m done. There’s only so many of the same review I can listen to, especially when they happen up to three times a week.”
