MFM: Pros and Cons
Pros: - The core storytelling is entertaining and engaging. - Newer stories of natural disasters, biographies, and historical tragedies bring welcome variety to the show. - The light tone is often balanced by Karen and Georgia's shared interest in the political and social issues that can contribute to crime and corruption. Cons: - Minisodes are overstuffed with ads, and the hosts have steered the topics of listener emails away from local crime and into random anecdotes. - The first third of most full-length episodes is made up of tedious chit-chat about pop culture and family members. - Outsourcing the research has turned Karen and Georgia into glorified narrators. - The running joke of guessing modern conversions of historical currency is incredibly stale at this point.Read full review »

Move over Sarah Kaenig, my new obsession is this duo. Georgia and Karen are hilarious and this podcast is amazing. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I can't wait for the next episode!Read full review »
