I truly hope these other women come forward and this (living)man gets some of the punishment he truly deserves for what he did to Ally, which ultimately led to her self destruction. Sometimes it feels like nothing will take away the pain that we have to live with everyday, and yet the perpetrators seem to get away with it and sleep well at night. You’re right Virginia, things need to change, the law needs to change and we as a community need to change. Slowly but surely we will educate our young, our elderly and ourselves!
Also, just wanted to add an important point that I noticed in one of your podcasts…..the definition of rape, is not penetration just by a sexual organ, but by any body parts or objects. So, once the labia are parted and penetration occurs, it is rape. I think a lot of people don’t realise that being ‘fingered’, without consent …is rape. It doesn’t have to be this violent event to be rape. And it all has the same devastation to one’s soul and mental health….to be violated.”
