Five stars
I’m only two episodes in. But i have no hesitation in giving a five star rating on just two episodes. Compelling subject matter, presented thoughtfully and skillfully I typically comment on and critique a podcast’s voicing as vocal fry is ubiquitous in English language podcasts. There might be vocal fry in this podcast … if there is, i have not noticed. The writing is high-quality; the material is sensitively presented; Steve’s occasional ‘supporting’ appearance is an enhancement to Virginia’s main narration I wish this podcast a wide audience and hope it can be another catalyst for social change

More reviews of My Sister's Secrets
Heartbreaking. I was angry with the Mom and Grandmother, but then I thought back to how my own family handled secrets and it was the same. Ignore it, bury it, pretend nothing happened. I hope this podcast helps change how families handle sexual abuse.

Excellent podcast. I am SO SICK of women explaining why they or someone they love didn't report assault tho. We have to stop doing that. If you do not understand the myriad of reasons a woman (or man) does not report then you are an unfeeling robot.Read full review »

This is an important story and subject matter but it is so very, very repetitive. So far, and I have persevered through 8 episodes, I feel like there was enough material for maybe 3 episodes. At least 1/2 of each episode is a repeat of previous episodes.
