Wholesome Dolly entertainment.
Wonderful weekly podcast from an East Tennessean who grew up in Dolly’s bosom. Each episode takes an informative look into each year of Dolly’s life and career. The host on this journey; Justin Kirkland is charming, charismatic and wholesome - all the qualities us Dolly stans love in our girl. Justin peppers each episode with anecdotes from his own life or those who write in. I am based in the North East of England so all these stories help me to feel closer to an artist I quite frankly worship. Justin’s soft voice, sweet accent and kind point of view is the warmth I’ve come to look forward to each week. I no longer go to church but I enjoy attending mass at the Church of Dolly every Wednesday lead by Justin. Also, Justin, if you read this review. Thank you for your time in creating this podcast. It brings me so much joy. I found this after listening to Dolly Parton’s America and was desperate for more Dolly content. It’s so easy as a fan to hear the same Dolly facts and stories over and over again but with you I’ve learnt so much more. You’ve helped me find new albums and helped Dolly feel brand new to me again.

Podcasts have been a godsend for my anxiety since losing my beautiful mum. She loved Dolly and each Christmas thrashed Kenny and Dolly. So...Read full review »

This is such a good podcast. The format is perfect, Justin isn’t trying to give an entire biography, sort of cliff notes on her life with details pulled out and expanded on. I’m learning so much about her and country music in general. There is a wonderful warmth to Justin’s voice, it’s very easy...Read full review »
