Hugely underwhelming
I'm hoping this podcast will find itself soon because for a first episode, "Video Store," was a big letdown. Unfocused, tangential information, sparse details relevant to the actual "case," and a shrug in place of an ending. Does the audience really need to hear about an unnamed bartender's love for La Strada or the plot to You've Got Mail? Starlee Kine's approach is often cloying and seemingly desperate. Her asides meant as humor just feel useless. Even the friend she interviews calls the central unanswered question for Episode 1 only the "2nd biggest mystery of her life." How about asking about the first? There are a lot of great podcasts out there, I won't allocate my time for tales of mild intrigue.Read full review »

Starlee Kine, as a raucous PI, dismantles and reassembles everyday mystery week by week. The paths may...Read full review »
