“I'm a huge fan of StartUp and Reply All, but this was an absolutely terrible podcast. Way too cutesy, a very VERY uninteresting "mystery", an incredibly boring conclusion, and super annoying delivery. I actually felt angry for wasting my time listening to this, and I listen to A LOT of podcasts. I felt they were trying to mimic Serial's "show your work" journalism, but epically and tragically failed: the stakes couldn't be lower, the main character (friend of Starlee) was more interested in being cutesy than in the mystery itself, no cliffhangers, weird/unrelated distractions (guy who never married), and a lack of any serious or interesting takeaways. I'm going to listen to the next episode, and unsubscribe if it is similar to this episode. They need to go back to the drawing board with this one. It is not working at all.”Read full review »
