Boring/infuriating
I found it boring. My wife found it infuriating with the lack of details or actually solving anything. The show came off as way too much about her. If it was done by an 11 year-old it would be cute, but she isn't 11. I could get over that if the solving was interesting, surprising, or in some way insightful. But this doesn't make for an exciting mystery: 1. a video store closed. 2. I walked into two placed nearby find out why. 3. The guy who owned the store lived upstairs. Really, we can probably safely say that after one episode, this one’s a winner. Starlee Kine is a favorite, and I love her storytelling style. Someone below likened it to a low-key Serial, and I think this is accurate. Can’t wait til the next one!
