Character Voices are OUT. OF. CONTROL.
On the latest season of Mythical, one of the players said it best when they said, "My ears are in pain." I used to really love listening to this show. The first season was exceptional and the DM does an amazing job building the world. The players are all awesome as well. But ever since the first season, the players seem to be trying waaaaay too hard to one-up each other with goofy voices that are extremely grating to listen to for any long period of time. I couldn't even finish the first episode of Season 2.5, which is really disappointing because I used to love this show. The voices might be fun if you're playing around the table with friends, but they are horrible listening for a podcast - especially random screaming into the mics, pitchy volumes, terrible Australian accents, and talking like the sloth from zootopia. Again, I know they are great players - the first season was really fantastic which is why I gave it 2 stars - but please get these character voices under control!!Read full review »
