I'm Hooked!
I am really enjoying the podcast. Immensely entertaining, meticulously researched, and full of insights. I thought I knew a lot of LDS history, but Bryce has taught me things I've never come across, and he is quick and insightful in dissecting much of the history he presents. It is a new podcast, so he has a few delivery techniques to figure out but don't let that discourage you--it is well worth the listen. It fills a niche that no other podcast has occupied, since many of them will discuss elements of LDS history, but Bryce takes it from the beginning and gives you a master's course in all the goofiness, the pretentiousness, the outrageous mock-solemnity of the LDS church's "sacred" beginnings. The style is somewhat reminiscent of the intro to The Thinking Atheist and the humor and smarts of the Scathing Atheist and Irreligiosophy--some of my favorites. I love to see the irreverence turned against the sanctimonious lies of LDS-correlated versions of the past. Check it out, subscribe, patronize. This truck driver knows his $%!#, and Mormon history is a field ripe for harvesting.Read full review »

Coming into the podcast with very little knowledge of Mormonism, I have found this extremely interesting. Bryce has a very scientific and scholarly way of approaching and debunking various claims made by the LDS Church and follows the chronological history of the church. If you like history...Read full review »
