This (narcissism uncovered) revelation is usually only reserved for their intimate partner or singular work colleague so that the generally held public belief in the fake persona is maintained. It is psychologically mind bending to the narcissist’s unfortunate target when, the narcissist reveals in a dog whistling style their true nature. Particularly covert narcissists who run a very believable disguise are the masters of causing confusion and disbelief in people who formerly truly loved and trusted the false mask.
