“I’m no stranger to Podcasts—who is these days? However, when it came to NASCAR I didn’t know the difference between a lug nut, a COTA, or a Corey Lajoie. Shortly before the Daytona I lost my mother and was looking at ways to better “connect” with my father—his passion is and will always be NASCAR. I really wanted to learn the sport in hopes of having more than a modicum of knowledge and to carry on an intelligible conversation.
I enjoy tuning into to each show and listening to Rod and Cody breakdown the track, provide some history, and make their predictions. You’d think they’ve been working together for ten plus years as they have such good camaraderie and complement each other extremely well. I prefer to watch on Youtube as I enjoy their sudden knee-jerk reactions, laughter, and often humorous facial expressions. I can’t emphasize how much I appreciate their clear speaking voices and understanding of the Enlgish language. It’s refreshing to get a consistent, quality Podcast without the “ughhs,” “ahhhs,” and “You knows.” It shows your confident in your subject, which carries over to your audience.
My favorite weekly show is the DFS one as I really enjoy playing on DK and they’ve helped me increase my bankroll since the season started just by playing cash games. There’s no other Podcast or show that covers Trucks, Xfinity, and Cup as in-depth as these gentlemen do. I feel I have learned an incredible amount—still not as smart as the old man though since I told him about this show and now, he listens too! Instead of asking who I think will win the race, he’ll say, “Hey! Did you see Cody likes Almirola this week?” "Can you believe Rod thinks Brad K has a chance!?" It's quite entertaining.
I also enjoy hearing about new products or services through their sponsors since I live in the remote woods of Wisconsin. I bought three pairs of Shady Ray’s—I never would have heard of them if it wasn’t for your show.
