Imagine yourself in a dark autumn forest. Complete silence, only the moon's soft light with you. Suddenly the darkness is cut by a maniacal laughter... The warning call of the female eagle owl is perhaps one of the most frightening sounds in Finnish nature. If you don't recognise the caller, your imagination can run wild. The eagle owl was recorded in October on a gorgeous quiet night as the moon lit up the leafless forest.
