The basic definition of leadership is influencing people to accomplish a common goal. Sometimes influencing requires some form of negotiation. Kwame walks through everyday, real-world negotiation techniques. They are easy to remember and cover a wide range of situations. Even if you don't think the situation applies to you, you will still find useful techniques in the story.
One of the biggest lessons I learned from the is podcast is EVERYTHING IS NEGOTIABLE. If you can embrace that attitude, you can break through the first barrier, which is just ASKING for that break or discount.
