“This is a great podcast and a great way to keep up with things in the nerdosphere. Adam and Bobby discuss a very wide variety of topics from toys to comics to movies to even the one problem that every nerd faces: properly displaying your collection. Though they have their own preferences (they clearly prefer DC to Marvel, for example), they are open minded and freely discuss things from all sides. At times they wax quixotic about things that only they will remember from their childhood, but that is part of the charm of the show. We all lead busy lives, but I enjoy seeing how they each manage to prioritize their nerdery amongst everything that's going on.
Ironically for a show titled "Nerd Rage Radio," I'm sure they manage to incite much nerd rage. Whenever Adam or Bobby gets a name wrong or mispronounces something or claims to have never heard of an actor from a huge nerd property (as Bobby says often, he's not good with names), it's easy to rage out (don't deny it, fellow nerds. Nothing makes us happier than correcting someone's "grievous" error). Don't worry, though. They have a new intern on the show who (in just one episode) has made a huge impact in terms of fact checking and information sharing.
One final note, as the episodes are about 2.5 to 3 hours long, the length was intimidating at first (so to speak). If you think this is a ridiculous length of time for an episodic podcast, I agree with you but....it's certainly worth a listen, especially if you have a long commute like I do. I've learned about a ton of stuff from these guys. After each episode, I usually end up with 1 or 2 new comic book arcs to check out! Keep up the great work, guys.”Read full review »
