Loss of ITV TdF coverage
David’s early thoughts were spot-on: ITV’s coverage caters for the occasional cycling fan who likes all the peripheral stuff that makes the TdF so entertaining. The highlights show has consistently been one of the best such sports programmes for this reason. Bit like when cricket sold itself to Sky and lost generations of kids, my son included.
