“Feels like they’re always trying to teach you how find a loophole or shortcut to APPEAR more legitimate to google, rather than actually BE more legitimate. One episode goes into how affiliate marketers should put a real address and phone number on their site as well as an ‘about the team’ page to make themselves appear to google like a real business, but the clear implication is that these are solely being employed to signal bots. It’s sad, really. There are legitimate small businesses who struggle to compete against these people who are just gaming the system and clogging up the internet with useless results that are not actually helpful. I’m so glad google is finally cracking down and making it difficult for these shady people to pump out nonsense content.”
