Prohibit the puns, please!!
True crime stories with real-life victims whose loved ones will likely hear them should be told with respect and conscientious, not 18 cheesy, distracting and, quite frankly, DISTASTEFUL, puns being thrown in every three minutes. This show has a lot of potential with the stories that are told, but the narrator’s cheerful and upbeat tone, the corny and distasteful puns, and the obnoxious background noises and sound effects make it insufferable. If I were the loved one of a crime victim whose story was being presented this way — or a member of law enforcement who sat down to do a formal and legitimate interview only to have my words followed by cheesy lines and ridiculous and unnecessary alliteration — I would be devastated. No wonder so many members of law enforcement refuse to take podcasters seriously and don’t want to be recorded for true crime shows. Do us all a favor and phase out the sound effects and super-offensive, blatantly disrespectful and insanely distracting puns!!

Uses too many metaphors it’s annoying to listen to. I only got through 4 episodes before deciding to look for different podcasts

What's with the background noises? I love the podcast and his voice but the weird synthetic background stuff is distracting.Read full review »
