Insightful
As an Early Childcare professional I see so much that can be done to better help working families pay for childcare and pay workers a living wage. The only thing I have to disagree with is saying that black single moms have a tougher time, in my experience single moms of any race struggle. I have seen many times when they listed the father on their public assistance cases they would lose benefits which should not be. Most of the time the fathers were not in the picture but the moms were forced to name them and then lose benefits. It has gotten better but not much.

I’ve worked as an early childhood educator for 14 years and I have never heard a breakdown of childcare history before the way it is broken down in this episode. It was very encouraging and enlightening. A must hear!
