Not history, maybe historical fiction
The French Revolution was one of the major events in European history. French people lived in horrible conditions, had barely any rights, and by the time they revolted they were starving to death. The king, queen and nobles had no sympathy for them. This podcast made Marie Antoinette seem like an innocent poor woman who suffered a terrible injustice. I don’t condone the violence the nobles suffered, but this podcast makes it look like the angry mob was just a bunch of lunatics without a good reason to hate the monarchy. I did enjoy the storytelling, the host did a magnificent job at captivating the audience. Listen to this podcast for the storytelling, but afterwards make sure you look up the real story in a history book.
