Great Statistics and Data Science podcast!
I started listening to NSSD because I began taking COURSERA’s Data Science Specialisation where Roger Peng is the main instructor. If you love Statistics, R, or would like to learn more about Data Science, this is the podcast for you. It’s hard to make a rather dry subject like Stats fun to listen to, but the duo Roger Peng & Hilary Parker achieve that, making the podcast sound more like a friendly conversation among friends than a collegiate lecture. Roger is the more academical lecturer, while Hilary brings the experience of non-academic work in a tech-savvy company. All the way from reproducible research, to Bayesian vs. Frequentist, to a hate for Spreadsheets, it’s not only fun, is contagious. Feed the inner nerd inside of you with conversations on p-values, the ggplot library, and clinical trials. You’ll feel great afterwards!

After listening to the first couple episodes, I really wanted to hear more from Dr. Peng and much less from Dr. Parker...He contributes a lot more to the podcast with regards to content.

After being mutuals for years I unfortunately had to unfollow @hspter due to a tweet in which they said of someone else, “ ‘Lost her humanity’ is far too generic & kind. Her tweets and behavior are riddled with codependent dynamics, splitting and other signs of a massive personality...Read full review »
