Truly Great Podcast
I've been a lifelong fan of horror films, particularly of the big franchises such as Friday the 13th, NOES, and Halloween, so these retrospective series grasped me right off the bat. I was at first a little hesitant, because I typically shun these types of podcasts because they come off as dry, too mired in detail, etc, but every single episode that I have listened to is so interesting and so engaging that at times, I find myself wishing I was in the conversation so I can jump in with my two cents. The chemistry between the reviewers is hilarious and comes across as three intelligent filmgoers sitting around in a bar. They're intellectual, but entertaining at the same time. Honestly, I can't recommend this podcast enough. Especially for fans of the horror genre, it's absolutely perfect, as each film's podcast is so detailed and so thoroughly explored that the listener gets the feeling that no matter how awful the film (Halloween III for instance), each film gets a fair treatment.Read full review »

The way it works is like this, Three people (Most often the guys) discuss more often than not complete series of movies leading up to a new release relating to the series. I can't wait for what's to come!Read full review »

The hosts of Now Playing are thoughtful but not stuffy. Their retrospective series' have been terrific so far, a mix of humor and analysis. I'm never looking for the Fast Forward button when listening to Now Playing.Read full review »
