NASA Launches Mission to Jupiter's Moon; Trump and Harris Campaign in Pennsylvania
Listen now
Description
NASA launched a spacecraft to one of Jupiter's moons on Monday, with Europa considered one of our solar system's most promising locations to search for life beyond Earth. The robotic solar-powered Europa Clipper spacecraft will learn whether this ice-encased world—believed to harbor a vast underground ocean—is habitable. Both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have campaign events in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania on Monday, with Harris holding a rally in Erie and Trump participating in a town hall near Philadelphia. The United States will send a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense battery to Israel, along with the troops needed to operate it, at the direction of President Joe Biden. The Pentagon said the anti-ballistic-missile system will help bolster Israel's air defenses following Iran’s ballistic missile attacks on Israel in April and October.
