Description
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on Friday that 75 people have been infected by the E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald's Quarter Pounder hamburgers. One person has died and 22 others have been hospitalized. The FDA and the CDC identified onions as the likely source of the contamination. Presidential nominees Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will center their attention on Texas on Friday. Harris will team up with entertainer Beyoncé Knowles for a rally in Houston, while Trump will hold a news conference in Austin before sitting down with podcaster Joe Rogan. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed on Friday that North Korean troops are poised to be deployed by Russia on the battlefield in Ukraine as early as this Sunday. He didn’t provide any further details, including where the North Korean soldiers might be sent, but called the deployment “an obvious escalating move by Russia.”
