This is such a wonderful program. I love listening to it connecting us to the sounds and facts of nature with the lovely voice and expertise of Anne Jones. Who doesn’t it need to be more connected to nature when all we hear about on the radio is about the pandemic. Thank you for so much delight.

Always a joy to tap into this wealth of love for Australian nature. A constant source of learning and deeper understanding about the wildlife and environment around me. I get a real thrill from gearing my contributions to the show. Anne Jones is an absolute star for the ABC.

Most of the podcasts are quite good. What I can’t stand however is Ann Jones habit of ‘dumbing down’ the science and her corny ‘playschool’ style. I really enjoyed the recent episode about zoos and their role in the conservation of threatened species. Ann showed that she can make a very good and...Read full review »

Thankyou for providing such a topical series on Australian natural areas/urban interfaces. It’s been difficult to find a nature series specific to Australia. Would love to see more new eps!

Off track is a balm to my country brain stuck in inner city Melbourne lockdown. I have been listening for years, but appreciate it so much more now. Ann and her guests take me away from the city, into the bush and desert and ocean - learning about nature and science and culture. Nature tracks -...Read full review »

Wow! What a great podcast. Eels, crocs, rescues! All gasps and giggles from this new listener. I wish I’d found this show at the beginning of lockdown. Great backing tracks as well.

I’ve loved listening to Off Track for several years now, it’s like my podcast ‘happy place’! More recently I can’t get enough of the new ‘Nature Track’ soundscapes, I use them as a relaxing background sound while I work, and also for winding down at night. Highly recommend! 🐸🍃☀️🐝🌻🦆

Love the Nature Track series but the intro refers to 5 episodes and only 4 have been uploaded to this podcast? There’s a 3 minute one but after refreshing as instructed I don’t see a one hour version referred to.

The nature track is great if you want to drown out the tinnitus, but don’t feel like listening to music or talking. I’m enjoying the rainforest one right now. Nice one.

Off track and Anne Jones are my tonic. As soon as I hear the opening music I drift into a nature wonderland in my mind. It is thought provoking, fascinating, refreshing. I usually love all the Off Track eps. This one was awful as a podcast. Barking dogs are not good to listen to.

This podcast is interesting. The stories include the natural environment and the people who explore them. I’ve found the podcast has built my curiosity, I take time to notice more of my own natural environment. Thank you ABC

I love the relaxed, conversational style of the show. The guest are always interesting people with a unique perspective. I’m not in Australia, but it’s still really fascinating to hear the wildlife over there.

has slowly got me hooked. I can’t get enough of the bird, frog and mammal sounds, and the shows about bilbies and the Yarra pygmy perch are fascinating and sad in that order.

Great podcast for the whole family. We have all learnt so much about Australian natural history, and the earworms from planet earth are the best - we love trying to guess whether it is a bug, bird or frog!

I’m a bit of a bird and frog nut - I can’t believe there’s a podcast that’s as crackers about bird song and frog identification as I am. Thank you thank you thank you!!
