“Hey guys, love the podcast. I’m a Canadian citizen and have my degree in petroleum engineering from the university of Wyoming. I grew up in Calgary and always wanted to be apart of the energy industry in Alberta. I worked in the field for a couple years before I was able to land an EIT job in Calgary. I just want to give advice to other people looking to get into office jobs in the industry. START IN THE FIELD! By getting my hand dirty in the field before moving to the office it’s allowed me to hit the ground running and start my new position with a greater knowledge of the industry. It’s also given me more respect with my peers in the oil and gas industry. Would love to hear your thoughts on this path into the energy industry.
