Hit or miss, depends on the guest speaker. Testudinology podcast was cringey because the ologist kept saying “I think,” and host kept providing the facts later after doing the research. On the other hand, the Oneirology podcast was incredible, guest speaker was astounding. Host is clearly...Read full review »

I love this podcast! It is so educational and funny… everyone should listen to this! Alie, I was wondering if you would do an episode on Aphantasia (the apse se of the minds eye)? Thanks!!!

I could go into a terrible karaoke rendition of Wind Beneath My Wings here but I’ll spare everyone the agony. I’ve been listening to Ologies almost since the beginning. It has been a huge comfort and joy in my life and has helped me through many hard times. Alie’s warmth, curiosity, honesty and...Read full review »

After listening to the Nephology (CLOUDS) episode, and realizing just how thoroughly I enjoyed (and continue to enjoy) the way Ali asked questions and so obviously wants to learn about everything, I was inspired to go back to school to get my bachelors degree in Geography and eventually get my...Read full review »

I work as a career advisor and am constantly referring undergraduate students to this show for the best career information and resources. HUGE thanks to Alie and all of the guests for sharing what they love and inspiring more people to join their fields!

Longtime listener. I’m listening to Psychedeliology Part 2, and Charlie mentioned my friend who experienced psychosis and jumped to his death when on psilocybin. I was so touched by hearing an expert explain his perspective on what happened to him and why. When it happened, we only got an autopsy...Read full review »

Big thanks to Alie and the team for bringing us the joy that is Ologies. You are now part of my morning routine as I get ready for work, satisfying my brain’s need for input but in a much better, healthier way than doomscrolling social media. You and the good Dr Winter also kept me company...Read full review »

I love your show - you have the kind of deep, wide-ranging, funny, profoundly interesting or simply profound conversations that I imagine having with some of my best friends over several hours at the dinner table while the wine flows. Only, that never happens. Thanks for taking care of that for me!

I came to this podcast by chance after listening to a RadioLab show on dark matter. My fiancé and I listen all the time and pause the episodes to discuss a surprising fact or just express our love for the sometimes zany, always informative asides. I love listening to this podcast. It makes me excited to learn about topics I didn’t even know existed. Also I love collecting pins about things I like, so have you considered making enamel pins again for the podcast? I’d love to support beyond Patreon, but there are no pins!

I love how this show debunks the myth that we nerds are a boring group! Nature hates me! My allergies are a sneeze-fest; my skin breaks out in a polka of rashes, and I burn faster than toast. I am so thankful for Ologies. I met my partner because of this podcast. Occasionally entertaining and informational, but sometimes the episodes are too political for me to enjoy, considering that I’m not on the left. The “educated, normal people obviously think like us” routine is starting to irritate me a bit. If you’re more progressive, you probably won’t mind.
