Love and science collide
“Ologies” is as simple as it is brilliant. A podcast delving into the almost unending areas of expertise in endless areas of science. “Ologists.” Horray, and thank you. Much of the credit to the success of Ologies, clearly goes to Alie Ward, her interview style is genuine and honest and her true love for science and geekery fully shines through. It feels far more like a wonderful dinner party conversation then an interview. Alie’s style doesn’t sacrifice science for simplicity. There is a consummate combination of charming banter, humor, and obvious love for science and exchange of knowledge. I sincerely wanted to be there, watching, listening, learning. When I stated earlier it “was as simple as it is brilliant,” by no means do I feel this podcast is simple. But it feels that way. And possibly, this is why it works so wonderfully. After all the difference between science and magic, is that one explains how it’s done.
