Ivor Haarburger occupied various roles at Gallo in his 40 years, from Marketing and Sales, to A&R and eventually as CEO. In his time at Gallo he also signed some of the South Africa's greatest artists. These include: Ladysmith Black Mambazo, The Mahotella Queens, Stimela, Ray Phiri, Don Laka, Harari, Lucky Dube, Gito Baloi, Miriam Makeba and, Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse.
