“This is my second review of On The Page. The first review was tough. The podcast showed promise, but it was leaky. There was too much drinking -no kidding, beer and wine, the first time I ever wrote about that on any podcast- too many Hollywood insider jokes, too much goofy behavior. This was supposed to be a professional podcast by somebody billing herself as a professional screenplay consultant, but it was sloppy sometimes.
The old review is gone because the podcast is much improved. It seems to have hit its stride around podcasts 7-9. I listened to number 9, with an interview with Wendy Miller, and it sounded like a podcast which had been around for a year or more. It was still fun, but it wasn't silly. Even if podcasts are free, the listeners still invest their own time. In a way, listeners are paying for the podcasts, so it's good to see Pilar is delivering something solid. She was always good answering questions and giving her views about screenwriting, so there wasn't that much to change. Hope it's around a long time.”Read full review »
