It seems Pilar's plants are trying to cover up the negative reviews, but don't let them fool you. They don't even provide cogent reviews. WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK: Pilar is a highly qualified script consultant WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Her experience consists of being a script reader... that's it. Who is she attached to that has ever had any significant amount of success? WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK: The guests are top notch, and worth paying for. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Her guests have included some other podcasts hosts, her mom, and a bunch of people you've never heard of. Her most successful guests, arguably, actually had a movie made for TV! My favorite 5-star review included the line "if it was worth it for free, it's worth paying for". Wow. That kind of logic would make Bertrand Russell blush. Another said "most podcasts are just vague opinions and yada yada yada". They are right about that, and On The Page is no different. Most aspiring screenwriters are dreamers, and Pilar has found a way to separate them from their money. Breaking in his hard, but it's easy to realize that spending $40 on this podcast isn't going to get your foot any closer to being in the door. You don't need to pay for this show to learn anything about screenwriting. The internet has plenty of better alternatives that cost nothing, and the dreaming part is always free.Read full review »

Great show. Always a joy when I see a new episode. Guests that come on the show are also a delight and surprisingly always helpful and provide great insights. Other podcasts usually lull when guests come on, but this podcast never falters. Just love the host and just the general vibe of the show.

Excellent audio podcast. [All the episodes are great] As I am mostly into the iPod video casts I almost never subscribe the audio podcasts. But, this one is the exception [I have listened to 6 episodes as of Jan 08']. I find the topics very interesting and very informative on Screenwriting....Read full review »

Pilar, I already have your book and it is a 5 stars for me for sure! But when you talk about a podcast you don't wanna blow peoples mind with 30 minutes of blah blah blah and only the last 15 minutes with content. Not depreciating what you are bringing on, with by the way is really valid, but...Read full review »
