Having spent 20 years and counting in general aviation, I’ve had an unusual benefit of having CFI’s as coworkers. Although handy for random questions, still nothing compared to the wealth of knowledge and situations that are covered here. ATC has always been a bit of a mystery, and study material lacks real world pilot-controller interactions, hearing the host’s explanations of what’s going on their side of the mic has been tremendously helpful. “I fly to secret squirrel triad airport often and have worked with both of these seasoned professionals. As a 6 year part-time commercial pilot, they provide excellent real world knowledge. Both of them being quite experienced pilots as well makes it required listening.”
