“The episode on fascism (Dec ’22) shows both the strength and weakness of this podcast. The hosts were at their erudite best chatting about political science and history, but, boy, did they cherry-pick their arguments. They have clearly never experienced fascists marching on their streets. Wagner Group, Casa Pound, the Proud Boys (who btw WERE in uniform on the steps of Congress on Jan 6th) etc all got a pass. Instead, Dorian and Ian chose to knock over a series of straw dolls. Very disappointing. Other episodes may be better. I hope so.”
