I was so hoping it would improve, initial concept was not bad.
It started pretty good. For being told in a very odd mix of audiobook and audio drama. And being written in the voice of a straight white man. Even the black lead lady has the same cadence ad the Whiteman. The romantic subplot feels SUPER forced. It’s a self insert. There’s no proper story arcs and almost no character development, I’ve listened to season four in hopes the creators storytelling would, you know, improve and evolve. But it doesn’t. The acting is subpar and the most boring and flat narration, and SERIOUSLY LEARN NOT TO MAKE WET MOUT NOISES WHEN YOU TALK FOR FRACKS SAKE.

Meh
The voice acting is NOT GREAT but the story in season 1 was enough to keep me listening. The EMU extras were also bearable, but season 2 is DRAGGINGGGGGGGG. The references to other podcasts like Tanis and Limetown are unnecessary and weird.

If you like serial style audio dramas, then I highly recommend checking this podcast out. It's engaging from the get go, doesn't insult your intelligence and the creative team are obviously fans themselves of the genre. They dole out pieces of information just enough to keep you hooked,...Read full review »

I love the concept, and how the story is developing. Great writing and imaginative storytelling. I can’t wait to hear what happens next
