I just like it
I am not a writer, nor have any desire to be one. I have never read ANY of the books or heard of any of the authors Brad has discussed on his podcasts either but I'm getting more curious about them because I like his podcast so much. I don't think it has anything to do with writing, this reason I like his podcasts. I think I like learning more about people and I'm always curious about people. The way he interviews people, I can tell he is genuinely interested and curious about them and I find that the most interesting part of the show. He asks similar questions that I would ask people to get a glimpse of the underside of their lives. He is also funny and honest. His intentions are true - he is just interested. I think being really interested is the most important part of a good interviewer. I do read a lot but I guess I don't read literary type stuff. I mostly read non-fiction. But I love these podcasts. When you want to procrastinate from writing and not feel guilty….listen to Brad talk about writing. Some great episodes to consider: Jami Attenberg, DT Max, Susan Orlean, Lee Boudreaux. Too many others to mention.
