A Better Book Podcast
Brad List's Other People has quickly become my favorite book podcast. Listi doesn't ask his guests to read from their work, and he doesn't ask them directly about the book they've just published. Instead, he just talks to them, starting with where they happen to be (at home, in a hotel, in a field, wherever), and then how they came to writing, how they work, and what it all means. The result is an engaging, charming, and, most importantly, personal discussion with the author. It's funny -- only after listening to Other People did I realize how impersonal, and sanitized, in a way, other author interviews are. Three cheers to Brad Listi for creating something personal, enjoyable, and enlightening, and putting it on the internet!Read full review »

The Other People podcast has great author interviews and insights. And Brad also offers a new approach to "express yourself". Check out Episode 23 with Dennis Cooper & make sure to hang in until the very end.Read full review »
