“Kingdom of heaven. I can overlook anything if a movie is entertaining. However, this is very boring. I got through the incomprehensible, over the top violence filmed like like the camera was being beaten by a loan shark. And the highschool play acting didn’t do it. But when they got to the scene where the European knight taught the people of the holy land how to irrigate and farm and whatever else in an extended montage, I’d had enough. I think specifically it was when he lifted the end of a makeshift wooden aquaduct (at least that’s how I remember it), that I pulled the plug. I love bad movies but this white savior fairy tale about the virtue of European civilization and gore porn, wasn’t even good for a giggle. It would be a brilliant satire of the films of the time, however, if they photo shopped Lesli Nelson’s face on Orlando bloom. I want that recut!”
