“I have to be honest. I didn't always love Our Hen House. When I first turned in, about six months ago, I was a little turned off by the casual banter between the hosts and I felt a little confused by the format. Also, had a bit of trouble telling them apart.. So I didn't even finish my first podcast and went back to a favorite vegan podcast of mine, Colleen Patrick-Goudreau (highly recommended). But after I listened to most of Colleen's podcasts, I was looking for another vegan podcast and came back to Our Hen House for a second try.
At that point, I listened again to Jasmin and Mariann and after just a couple podcasts, it clicked and I 'got' them. Once I learned a little more about their own roles, their families, their relationship, their interests, then I started to appreciate and enjoy their reviews, conversations, interviews and opinions. Now I really look forward to spending time every Sunday or Monday with the vegan ladies from Our Hen House. I have now gone back and listened to some of the podcasts that I missed earlier. I need to get off a donation to them as well to let them know how much they are appreciated. :-)
