Informative but fun and conversational
There are a lot of podcasts where people sit around and chat about their lives and issues of the day but they get tedious and are unfocused. Our Hen House is not like that. You get the feeling they're sitting around chatting and the show is light and fun, and yet the content is serious and focused. I love it and I really didn't think I would because there are issues that I don't agree with the hosts about and they spend time talking about eating at restaurants around the country that I will go to. The show is broken into four pieces approximately. First, you catch up with the vegan-oriented things the hosts did in their lives over the past week, then there's an interview segment with someone who's written a book or started a business or is an activist, then there's news of the week that would be of interest to vegans, and then there's a review segment of a book, play or movie from an animal rights perspective. Every part is especially good but my favorite are the reviews.Read full review »

Listening to Jasmin and Mariann and their guests I have learned a great deal about the many people who fight to protect animals of all species. And I inspired to do my part as well. This is an excellent podcast.
