“The episode was insightful. It’s interesting to see how conversations about Race also serve as a platform to conversations about other pertinent issues of the day; like education, celebrities and corporations’ influence on society. Starbucks’ recent efforts, Socially responsible investment funds, and the rise of Bcorps all bring to light a recent movement by corporations and entrepreneurs’ to have an “Impact” on society. A movement also referred to as “Conscious Capitalism”. I find the dynamic interaction among the 3 hosts, combined with a touch of sarcasm, to be very enjoyable. I disagree with the previous comment about defensiveness. Raquel, a very smart woman, has a radiant personally and strong character; which feels like an appropriate complement to the 2 masculine personalities. I am excited to see where future conversations About Race take this team.”
