“Listened to the first two and a half and thought, 'alright, alright, alright'. Which qualifies the tone of this podcast fairly well. But by the middle of third one, I too found some of the voice elements accumulated over those episodes had accumulated in the aggregate to point of juvenile. Not the Boston accent, I'm fine with that. I'm referring to the tendency of both in using their sophmoric let-me-translate-what-this-character-is-saying-in-my-cartoonesque-mock-the-subtext-yackyack-voice. I also prefer when M lets her native accent come out versus the slow and deliberate I'm-not-showing-my-accent clipped I'm-smiling-while-I'm-speaking-to-make-my-every-syllable-come-across-as-chipper trick that she uses at the start of the podcasts and at the start of the converstaion. When she starts talking at her regular pace, her thoughts come across more naturally. My advice to both is to not try to adopt different accents and avoid using their this-is-me-in-characters-voices - leave that alone. The vocab used to express their interpretations is cavalier and comes across as... well, a different mentality. However, I am in no way saying it's an invalid way of interacting with the world.
