Bonus for me as a book nerd: one of the key characters (played by Stanley Tucci), who was a relative of the creator, played a key role in the evolution of book publishing in Italy. A wonderful example of how aural storytelling can, via aspects like the vocal performances and sound effects, tell ugly and harrowing truths about humanity while also entertaining listeners”
