I downloaded this hoping for a fresh take on current affairs, but it’s just a lazy rehashing of the newspaper reviews on BBC and Sky, sourcing from the same small selection of discredited newspapers, boosting the same tired London opinions, filtered through an obnoxious Guardian-esque...Read full review »

Don’t go to watch Knee Cap Glorifying drug taking and unnecessary female nudity. The 80s and Weinstein need to be gone.

Love the podcast and the hosts and guests! I usually listen while in my car, and have laughed out loud countless times (BOFFINS!). Podcast gives this Canadian a great insight into the state of things in England. Please open an account on Bluesky - all the cool kids are there! Well, Alex is anyway 😄

I love this show and its rotating shift of guests and really look forward to finding its appeared on my phone mon-fri for my commute home. Sometimes I even laugh out loud on the train. And anyone commenting here that Miranda’s laugh is irritating will have to go through me. It’s one of the best...Read full review »

Chantel Really! Ditch her. Can’t listen to her stupidity.

They’re all good but Gráinne Maguire absolutely made my walk back from the station today, I was laughing randomly out loud to strangers. Thanks all

As an avid - too avid - follower of politics podcasts, Paper Cuts is very often my go-to podcasts particularly when I can’t face the way serious issues are discussed elsewhere for the time-being. Sure. Paper Cuts doesn’t shy away but always manages to find fun in the bizarre world of the U.K....Read full review »

Cheers for all the laughs - getting me through dons terrible commutes and making me more informed along the way.

I love Papercuts every day… but this episode is the most fun ever! Keith Duddy

This used to be a great podcast but the quality has reduced rapidly since going daily and this is not helped by the constant begging for money from listeners. Enough!

Yummy!

I’d been listening to the podcast for a while but today’s show was disappointing. The first story was taken and commented on at face value. This is despite a wealth of evidence, incredibly easy to access, to suggest it was a stunt and widely misreported. The way this podcast dealt with it was...Read full review »

This is generally very good, but variable depending on the presenters and guests. If the guests are clever, so is the commentary. Sometimes they are thick as mince, which is jarring. One had a go at the police once for ‘making a law’ he didn’t like… fundamentally misunderstanding how laws are...Read full review »

A rotating cast of people review the headlines from the broadsheets and the red tops. Not only are they genuinely funny, but many of them have been involved in Fleet Street, allowing a bit of an Insight into how the news is polished for our consumption. I have honestly laughed out loud so many...Read full review »

This is so entertaining! The hosts are snarky but not overly judgmental in their humor. First thing I listen to most days.

If I was a front page my strap would say “proud to love papercuts”.

Worth it for Miranda’s joyfully irreverent laugh alone. I can praise it no more highly than by saying it is up there alongside Mutley in the hallowed pantheon of celebrity laughs.

Miranda Sawyer delights me. I quickly tire of presenters who try too hard to be engaging but her spontaneous wit and helpless laughter fill me with joy. I find myself listening to every edition and always feel more buoyant afterwards. The guests are well chosen but Miranda Sawyer who previously,...Read full review »

I used to absolutely love this show. Recommend it to everyone. The recent insensitive comments regarding the disgraceful distasteful comments about the Zara & M&S Ad campaigns were just …. Not it. I can’t relate to these types of people anymore unfortunately.
Aja paisley via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/13/23
This would be so much more enjoyable without the really irritating cackling from one of the presenters. She loves her own « jokes » so much, and on a recent episode she even found the word « Dutch » impossibly funny, which led to several seconds of mindless giggling. So much better when she’s not on

I don’t mind swearing when done for a reason but as much as I enjoy Jonn Elledge, I wish he could do use other words now and again. Apart from that I love this podcast. Clever, witty and about my favourite topic - newspapers. It’s like a group What the Papers Say, which I’m old enough to...Read full review »

Miranda Sawyer is great, the others just seem to be really smug, “know all” students… tiresome and not as smart or as funny as they think they are

…. to listen to Miranda Sawyer giggling at the news and not feel at least 73% better. Do yourself a favour and improve your knowledge and your day.

Absolutely love this podcast. Super quick download of the news that manages not to be depressing! Particularly enjoyed the ‘manel’ talking about male friendship. All the feels. Great stuff.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me the news in a way that makes me not want to jump in front of traffic. Sane people making me laugh but also care. You’re all brilliant

Love the mix of presenters. Always cheers me up, even on a bad news day.

Absolutely love this podcast-slash-loss leader for the Daily Star. Update: a Tinder date and I once stopped off at The Langham for a late night pee. Upon exiting the loo I was met by security, who had sussed out that we weren’t guests and helped me out of the building. Still got to pee though so...Read full review »

Paper Cuts is “what the papers say” for a 21st Century audience. Miranda Sawyer and her rotating cast of guests tear into the day’s newspapers with enthusiasm, analysing how different papers prioritise different facets of the big stories, sharing the best headlines (especially from the Star), but...Read full review »

First things first, thank you such much for the wonderful shout out! Made my day. Worth supporting them. Papercuts is such a fun podcast, a really enjoyable daily look at the papers, with informative presenters.
Pikubeats via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 10/05/23
Brilliant, irreverent show providing scalpel-sharp analysis of the sometimes unhinged, occasionally bizarre and often tendentious take on events of British newspapers. A highlight of my day and Miranda’s giggles are the icing on the cake.

Have got really into this pod and delighted it’s moved to a daily drop. All contributors are great and Miranda’s laugh is so infectious! Brightens my day.
Coylo27 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/29/23
A bit like HIGNFY, but the contributors aren’t bitter pensioners! One of my favourite pods.
JackC2008 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/21/23
In a world of ever depressing headlines and hopeless, useless, clueless UK politicians, this podcast brings the fun back to the news. Miranda’s giggles are a particular highlight. And now it’s going to be in our ears 5 days a week - ya dancer! (Glasgow compliment)

A simply fabulous way to keep up with the latest news.

Wow this show has a lot of adverts. Presumably it’ll go Patreon soon to cut them out but at the moment you need to listen with 40 second jump option near to hand In between the adverts the show is pretty good

Treats the Tabloids like the comics they are. Makes me laugh a lot, along with the presenters. Miranda Sawyer is a star!
SitheBruce via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 08/30/23
Don’t think it does what it claims - act as a substitute for daily papers. Nor is it a forensic analysis of articles like What the Papers Say. But it manages to be entertaining about selected highlights. It drops three (I think) days a week & I always listen right through to the end, so there...Read full review »

I do like it but I wish some of the presenters or guests sounded a bit less posh. It just sounds too south-east England. Can we have some Geordies, or Scousers, or Welsh please?
