flabby - needed a script editor and better interviews
compared with some of the really smart stuff out there – eg, The Hurricane Tapes – this struck me as a really clunky bit of work. Steve’s interviews were, for me, painful to listen to - here was an interviewer who sounded much more interested in his questions than the answers he was getting. The story-telling seemed hardly to have been considered at all – I know budgets for these projects aren’t great, but in my view the biggest failing was with the structuring and writing – the stuff that it doesn’t cost more to get right. If it got better after ep 4 my apologies – I gave up.
