I feel for the murder victims and their families but also feel deeply for Vince and his brother who I believe to be truthful and who were also victims to this awful man. So sad that they lost their Mum who loved them. Absolutely devastating what he did to them and his murder victims. My only...Read full review »

I grew up hearing this story. It was my father Terry Evans who was the Foreign and Commonwealth representative who investigated the disappearance. Such tragic loss of life. My heartfelt sympathy to their family

Not convinced about all the silence. Almost as if , he’s making it up as he goes along . Or is he such a traumatized terrified kid? But he then switches to memories off swimming off the boat s as no Peta teaching him.. I don’t know… so many questions still lingering!

I was hooked from episode one, such a tragic story. I was in tears when Penny found her brother’s grave. Great music at beginning and end of each episode too. Highly recommended

What makes this captivating isn’t just the story but it’s the dogged spirit, empathy and intelligence demonstrated by the two journalists. They are unafraid to ask the painful, uncomfortable questions. The results of this investigation are a testament to the power of persistence by the family,...Read full review »

It’s ok but there are no twists. The story as told by Vince is the story.

I’m jumping on the bandwagon a little late but I really enjoyed this podcast and binged it in 2 days. Such a horrific story told with honestly, warmth and at times, much needed humour.

Excellent podcast and a sad story with many twists. RIP Chris and Peta

Excellent journalism and reporting. Very tragic and unjust case. Rest In Peace Chris and Peta, and all of Boston’s other alleged victims.

Really great investigative work that left little to wonder about after the conclusion. They weren’t afraid to ask the tough questions, and in one particularly uncomfortable episode, willing to hold law enforcement accountable directly for their failure to perform their duties effectively. Hosts’...Read full review »

Seems like an interesting case but it is presented in the driest possible way by the driest sounding journalists.

I recently heard your Podcast calked Paradise. What can I say. Excellent! Top notch!!! I do have a question. Why haven’t the family brought back the couple since they were found in the Cemetery? Keep it up!

This is one of the best true crime podcasts I’ve listened to. I almost didn’t believe it was real, honestly. The amount of evidence they managed to uncover, and the people they managed to bring together from all sides of the case was jaw dropping. Excellent storytelling too, really kept my...Read full review »

Wonderful journalism. A very moving and of course horrifying story. It was sensitively done. Thank you all.

Sorry, but the reporter Steven just asks the most indecent questions and makes the most shallow assumptions about what so-called „normal“ children would or wouldn’t have done in a horrific situation like the one they have experienced (and the reporter most likely has not, so he has no freaking...Read full review »

Brilliant work. Anyone who thinks journalism is obsolete should listen and rethink their opinions. For Chris and Peta…. I’m so sorry.

Congratulations on a great investigative podcast. I got chills listening to the son’s description of the last minutes of Chris and Peta’s life. The many twists and turns to the story kept it interesting.

Overall an interesting podcast of a terrible crime. I enjoyed it but This podcast suffers from showing its age in a genre that’s evolving and professionalizing quickly. At times the pacing is too slow and at others very fast. It seems that this was filmed in progress so they needed some fillers...Read full review »

Fascinating story which shocks with the vast amount of neglect by people to do their jobs right and give the families the justice they so rightly deserve. Excellently put together and a great listen.

Riveting, great investigative journalism of a real life crime, so sad but you have to listen to the end.

Great interviewing, details, hosts, and intriguing. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it jumped around a bit for my taste but all n all very well done. Disturbing and unsettling true story.

Hosts are enjoyable to listen to and they construct a well-told story. The numerous mistakes by police investigators is unbelievable. Looks like no one will ever be held accountable for the murders or the screw-ups. Is there a movie in the works?

This is undoubtedly a fascinating case and, in many respects, it is explored in a compelling way by this podcast. However, the one major discovery made by the team in Guatemala does a lot of heavy lifting to rescue what is otherwise quite a tawdry exercise. Structurally, this series is a bit of...Read full review »

I’m going to give Stephen a really useful tip - look into trauma-informed reporting. It will help you immensely when talking to survivors of horrific events. The brow-beating and belaboring of details (yes, she was nude - we understood it at first mention) was so unseemly and uncomfortable to...Read full review »

Update: I’m quitting this podcast halfway through episode 3 because of the attitude and behavior of the host Stephen. He has no clue what he’s talking about yet acts as if he’s an authority. While I cannot speak for the rest of the podcast, I found Episode 2 to be so exploitative and prurient that I stopped there. The interviewer was at the best insensitive and salacious, and at worst “getting off” on the terrifying details of the victims’ deaths. He seemed to be trying to elicit...Read full review »

Usually steer clear of BBC podcasts and this reminded me why. Egocentric journalism - extremely patronising towards interviewees, and the listener. These people saying “victim blaming”... it’s absurd. No one is blaming anyone. Hard questions are asked, for sure. I think they were asking for human interest.
