Interesting story but I’m appalled by Stephen’s unethical behavior
Update: I’m quitting this podcast halfway through episode 3 because of the attitude and behavior of the host Stephen. He has no clue what he’s talking about yet acts as if he’s an authority. I also filed a complaint with BBC Sounds. Conflating your (misguided) personal views with professional reporting has real consequences for listeners. And no, Stephen isn’t the murderer. He’s one of the hosts. At the end of episode 2, I felt sick hearing him shame the man who witnessed murders as a child for not reacting in the way he imagines a “normal child” would react. Excuse me? And it wasn’t just that clip, I’ve now heard others (and I’m only on episode 3) where he seems to fancy himself a psychotherapist. It’s so hard to listen to that it makes me question the BBC’s journalistic integrity to the extent that I’m looking into submitting a complaint. Journalists have an ethical responsibility when interviewing, and this behavior is inexcusable.

More reviews of Paradise
An amazing story, fantastic investigative journalism and a tale which will keep you gripped from start to finish. If paradise was a podcast then this would be the ultimate paradise. Which conveniently is the name of the podcast.

Thank you for giving Chris & Peta’s families some comfort and for finding their children. They had been truly let down by those we are supposed to put our faith and trust in. Without you, I imagine they would still be in the dark. I hope that Boston found no peace or happiness in his life...Read full review »

Couldn’t get completely on board with this, bailed out at episode 8. A lot of the detail has been dragged out and the episodes are overly long. Some of the threads get confused. It’s not terrible, just didn’t grab me. The fake tone of some of the reporting grated a little too.
