Why crime podcasts get a bad name.
While I cannot speak for the rest of the podcast, I found Episode 2 to be so exploitative and prurient that I stopped there. The interviewer was at the best insensitive and salacious, and at worst “getting off” on the terrifying details of the victims’ deaths. He seemed to be trying to elicit shame from the interviewee, who (if the story is even accurate or genuine) was an obviously abused child at the time of the incident. That interview wasn’t journalism, it was repugnant, irresponsible, despicable, and frankly, pathetic. It was the type of interview that gives crime podcasts a bad name
