Mom Guilt Tackled
I wanted to sign up to come on the show to talk about the constant mom Guilt I feel. I've had to travel a couple of times, even though I work from home and have a nanny so my babies are here with me. I had been feeling a tremendous amount of guilt for leaving them. As I listened to the podcast here is my main takeaway. If we as moms are not gentle with ourselves, we'll be hard on our babies. From her talk with the military mama. I felt myself in everyone she interviewed. The mama who bought all the books and listened to the social media advice etc. That was me before I gave birth and I wish someone would have told me. Stop! Prepare emotionally for being a mom. My baby is almost 2 years old and has been waking up more crying in the middle of the night, I always tell my husband I want to sleep next to her but we have my 4 months old next to me and he refuses to let me bring the older baby into our room. I felt myself in the lady who just wanted to sleep. Every episode was pure gold. Thank you Dr. Shefali, I am currently reading the parenting road map but this podcast is everything! It's so so helpful.Read full review »

So far I love that the advice is given in easy to understand small bites, and that it is not overcomplicated, over explained, and therefore is realistic to everyday life. Thank you, Dr. Shefali!
